Tamne, the fourth album of Talaqpo, draws primarily from stories and sounds captured by the bandleader Lucie during her travels to Eastern Africa. The fragments from the journey were transformed into compositions and freely processed in unique interpretations of the six musicians. The languages of Tonga, Acholi, Lobi, and Bayake tribes overlap with Czech and Slovak, the sounds reminiscent of crickets blend with locked grooves, the acoustic sounds dissolve in analog electronics, the high level of energy drops to a sudden release, the strict compositions turn into improvisations.
